Well rested and freshly back from the Christmas holidays, our Managing Partner and Product Lead, Julian Vaupel, talks us through this Product Roadmap Update providing insights on what we achieved in the past six months within the development of Omni Suite and our big plans for 2023.
Milestones & achievements of the past half year
The second half of 2022 was characterized by exciting customer projects that placed new demands on our product. For me, our most important successes can be summarized through the following points:
- Further development of the Multi-Channel Content Hub:: In the second half of the year, we continued the development of the Omni Suite Content Hub in collaboration with our partner, SPOT Werbung. The new Content Hub allows content to be easily played out via app, web or email. The most important milestone was the go-live of the new multi-channel Content Hub for Engadin St. Moritz Tourism..
- New app theme options: What do you want the Omni app to look like for your destination? Thanks to improvements over the past few months, we can now further customise the Omni App for each customer and tailor the look of the app more precisely to the wishes of the destination.
- Efficiency in customer set-up & time-to-market: Another important milestone is the new "multi-tenant set-up" of the Omni Suite. Thanks to this step, we were able to significantly simplify the onboarding of new customers, prevent long lead times and bring future customer projects to market faster.
- E-mail marketing & newsletter expansion: In the past few months, we have made great progress in the area of e-mail marketing and added it as an important new feature to the Omni Suite. In the process, we were able to implement new newsletter solutions for three different customers and support them during the rollouts.
- Introduction of the Omni Competence Center: Step-by-step guidance and know-how transfer are key success factors when using the Omni Suite. With the OCC, we have developed our own e-learning framework that helps our customers to use the Omni Suite even better. You can find out more about the OCC here.

Whats next? Focus topics 2023
The further development of the Omni Suite will focus on the following topics in the new year:
- Connection of SPOT Werbung's e-commerce platform:By connecting Cariboo, SPOT Werbung's e-commerce platform, to the Omni Suite, we will enable guests to access an even broader digital product range in the future.
- Revision of the Live Site: Soon, our customer guests can look forward to an even better Live Site in the Omni App. We will revise the page and the data model behind it with the aim of ensuring an even better supply of live information at all times.
- Improved analytics infrastructure and data evaluations: We will continue to develop the Omni Suite so that our customers can better analyze and evaluate the gathered data. Who are their guests, how do they behave in the destination and where does value creation take place? The data-based insights from this will enable targeted measures in product innovation, and in turn improve the guest experience.
- Membership 4.0: With memberships, guest segments can be easily created and played with. In this iteration, we would like to focus on an external control of features in order to offer partners an activation via API. For example, an integration of the guest card activation code included as a Deep-Link within the welcome e-mail released by the hotel to the guest.
- A wallet, a notification center and an improved profile: For a better presentation of the relevant information, so that guests have all the necessary tickets and information clearly organised and available in one place.
- Better recommendations thanks to personalization: With new features for capturing current guest needs and conversion, we will be able to provide better content and product recommendations in the future.
