The Surselva region lies between the spring of the Rhine and the Rhine Gorge and delights its visitors with its beautiful scenery and range of attractions for its guests.

With the mia Surselva app, the region, in collaboration with inside labs, were able to create a digital guest platform that focuses fully on the visitor experience and rethinks the guest relationship in a digital age. Thanks to the early integration of the service providers in the region, launching a digital guest-card within a short space of time was no problem. The guest card can be used by visitors via the mia Surselva app with ease creating a win-win ecosystem where all players benefit: the guests, the destination and the service providers.

As a "digital concierge", the app accompanies guests before, during and after their stay in the region. Guests receive the latest information about local offers, restaurants, and operating times of the mountain operators as well as live data from weather stations including webcams streams directly on their smartphone via the app. Personalised push notifications and in-app messages also offer new opportunities in marketing automation.

With its own online shop, mia Surselva offers the possibility to sell experiences and products directly through the app. The guest card concept has been completely digitalised and integrated into the app.

A digital platform was developed for the entire region as a central source of information for guests and acts as a communication hub between the destination, service providers and its visitors.

Explore Feed & Live Information

The entire region at a glance. Live in the app. Thanks to the Explore Feed with up-to-date content on offers in the area and live information on weather or webcams, guests always have all the information they need at their fingertips.

Personalised Guest Communication

Through automated campaigns, guests receive personalised, tailored information and offers directly on their smartphone.

Digital Guest-Card

Through the integration of the relevant service providers (e.g. accommodation or experience providers), today practically all guest cards are used digitally. A simple voucher-redeeming mechanism is available via QR code scan or promotion codes which offers enhanced convenience for visitors.

Integrated Shop Solution

A shop integrated into the app creates the basis for a new sales ecosystem for various providers and partners.

By engaging local service providers and leveraging the technological capabilities of Omni Suite, we were able to build an innovative digital ecosystem for our guests and the entire region.

The Results.

Mia Surselva brings the region into a digital experience and creates new opportunities for guests, service providers and Surselva Tourism. Through the involvement of various service providers such as hotels, restaurants and mountain railways, the request for a digital guest card was possible to implement quickly & successfully. Since its launch, more than 10,000 digital guest cards have been activated.

With the app being built Omni technology, Surselva Tourism AG now has a platform for personalised communication available with over 14,000 registered users at any given time. Guests receive tailored information and offers relevant to them at the right time directly on the app.
